The building of the "Bahnl" (Ritten train) marks the turning point. 1907 is the year when the "Ritten" is developed for tourism and thus the two restaurants subsequently come into being in Wolfsgruben. These are 'Gasthaus am See' (Inn at the Lake), which is run by Mrs Luzia Pichler-Baumgartner, and Café Waldfrieden (later renamed Miralago), which is also acquired by the Baumgartner family in the sixties.
In 1979, the boarding house of Hans and Christl Baumgartner is converted into the Hotel am Wolfsgrubenersee (Hotel at Wolfsgruben Lake) in order to meet the growing demands of the guests and the requirements of the time.
In the meantime almost 30 years have passed. Today, daughter Karin and her husband Karl Clementi manage the hotel following the same family tradition. |
